Easy to obtain a ticket for this fixture. An email to the club sorted me out a ticket in the family stand which was collected and paid for on the evening. Buses to the ground are available right next door to the train station. The stadium itself is located in an out of town retail park with the outside of the ground resembling its own shopping centre. Quite a few restaurants are located "under the stands" but it would be interesting to know how many people actually went to the football after their meals. Due to the shopping situation it doesn't feel like a football ground from the outside.
I had a bit of trouble getting into the ground as it took a while for me to work out which stand I was supposed to be in. Eventually after getting into two stands which I shouldn't have I found the right one. Inside the concourses are decorated with references to the club history and mining past. Programmes are on sale for 50 cents. You can't complain about the price but as its a Zpress production it the same design as a lot of clubs in the south of the country. A bit of individuality is required and more to read for a top level club.
Roda were terrible first half and were lucky to be only 1 goal down. VVV should have least have been 3 goals up by half time. Roda probably have the worst player in the whole Eredivisie in Davy De Beule. This bloke has great comedy value for being so bad. When you think he will get better he doesn't. There again he scored in the second half and was a Belgian Young Player of the Year in 2002 - 2003 so what do I know.
