Dynamo Dresden v TSV 1860 Munich - 23rd March 12

Friday 23rd March 2012
Dynamo Dresden 0 TSV 1860 Munich 1
Admission 20 euros
Programme 1 euro
Attendance 29,323

The weekend started off really well with a good evening at Dynamo Dresden. This is a club that does so many things right. I purchased my ticket online and the stadium is easy to get to by tram. Just two stops from the main railway station. Despite a heavy Police presence, before and after the game, I didn't see any trouble.

The stadium is really good with quality seating and views. It's also really easy to find your seat. The one downside is the catering and beer. You have to purchase a 2 euro card then load it with money. As the minimum was 10 euro's I didn't bother. Stewarding is very relaxed and friendly with no fat skinhead body searches taking place.

The referee and the dodgy/diving/cheating 1860 players really wound the crowd up. Dynamo had a player sent off in the second half and despite really going for it they didn't have enough quality infront of goal to get something from the game. The atmosphere is excellent and the noise comes from all parts of the ground.

Interesting that Aston Martin are the shirt sponsors of 1860. I wasn't aware that they sponsored any football teams. Two brands that have such differing qualities if the behaviour of 1860's players is anything to go by.

The match programme is excellent. It is a 64 page issue of the mini A6 size. The supporters also issue their own 12 page programme which is given away free of charge.
