Monday 19th November 2012
Hertha Berlin 1 St Pauli 0
2.Bundesliga
Admission - 22 euro
Programme – 2 euro
Attendance – 39,127
Getting there
A really easy venue to get to. You have the option of either travelling by S or U Bahn.
The Ground
Not just a fantastic historical stadium but an extremely impressive sports complex. The only downside is the running track around the pitch. I purchased my ticket on line but due to the plenty of empty seats I could have bought a ticket on the day. Once inside you can generally move from the cheap seats to the expensive ones on the half way line.
Programme
Available inside the stadium and also from the Hertha club shops in the centre of Berlin . I purchased mine from the one at Zoo Gardens . It’s a 76 page issue with a laminate cover. It’s very good but not as good as a few years ago when it was a 100 page issue.
The Game
A deserved win for Hertha but they left it late scoring the winner with 5 minutes to go. There was an impressive following of St Pauli supporters.
Note
I did have the option of attending the Hertha Berlin Under 23 game against Carl Zeiss Jena game played on the previous day. I found out that Hertha did not issue a programme for this game only a team sheet. I’m don’t think that they are issuing this season. That’s very poor for a club playing in the Regionalliga Nordost.
